Eight solid brass discs do the holding. Add pages, remove them, move a section to the front of the book — the order is yours to change, and the leather cover never needs replacing to make it happen.
Brown full-grain leather develops a rich patina over time. Writing goes down smoothly on the 70lb dot grid paper, which is substantial enough to prevent bleed-through, and the journal lays completely flat on a desk.
