A plain shape and a textured natural surface do most of the work here. Stack a few and they hold together neatly, thanks to the uniform diameter Hasami builds into every mug. Clay and crushed stone come from Hasami, a village in Nagasaki, Japan with a pottery history stretching back over 400 years, and each piece is molded, glazed and fired by hand rather than on a mass-production line.
*Please note: Hasami products are handmade and hand-glazed, so there may be slight variations in color and finish on these products.
